Cactus Jack’s Senator Club – Carson City, Vintage Casino Ashtray (c.1971)
Good condition – the round version is rarely seen for sale.
Cactus Jack’s began life as the Senator Club until it was bought by Peter Piersanti in 1971 and renamed Cactus Jack’s Senator Club. Piersanti sold his original cactus casino, Cactus Pete’s in Elko County near the Idaho/Nevada border, in 1971 and bought the casino in Carson City shortly after. The casino is one of the older continually operating casinos in town and is known by its shortened name of Cactus Jack’s.
The casino hasn’t seen much in the way of an interior overhaul for some time, and visitors are greeted by a sign of a cartoonish prospector. This combination of kitsch and nostalgic atmosphere makes the casino something of a time warp. Despite the vintage ambiance, most of the casino’s electronic games are current, and the staff goes above and beyond to make visitors feel welcome.
